The IBM Lectern – An IBM Special Product
During the summer of 2024, Raffi Melkonian, an appellate lawyer based in Houston, Texas, argued a case at the Louisiana Supreme Court, where he discovered an IBM Lectern, similar to that used by President John F Kennedy when he presented the case for the Apollo Programme to send astronauts to the Moon. Curators at the Hursley Museum were delighted to help with the background research.

Moving a System/360 Mainframe
The Curators are indebted to the team from Clockwork Removals and Storage in Edinburgh for their help in September 2025 in moving a 1960s System/360 mainframe and peripherals from the National Museums of Scotland to the Hursley Museum near Winchester, Hants.
